Was such a critter ever made? I see lots of Hydro
966/100/186's with fwa out there but I can't even find a single
pic of a smaller Hydro with fwa. If there are no originals could
one be built by robbing the fwa off a gear drive? Thanks, Sam

No and no.

The 656 Hydro, Hydro 70, and Hydro 86 are a completely different design from the "large frame" Hydros. IH never offered a FWA for these smaller tractors, and one from a larger tractor will not fit.

Elwood Manufacturing at one time made a FWA for the M/400/450/560 sized tractors, which was driven off a gear in the transmission, through the belt pulley mounting hole. Since the 656/70/86 hydros have no transmission gears it would not work even if you could mount it.
