Loop style rim interchangeability

Hey guys! Am I correct in assuming the loop style rims are interchangeable between tractor brands as long as it has the same number of loops?

Found a VERY nice set of 14.9x28 tires and 6-loop rims off a Ford tractor, and I want to put them on my IH 606 that has 6-loop rims. Just want to verify they will fit before I drop a fair chunk of money on them. Thanks!
 
I would think so, as long as the rim size is also the same, but measure yours and bring a tape measure along when you go to look at the new tires.
 
I would think they would but have never tried. I have had an A/C 4 loop rim on one of my Farmalls in the past
 
As long as everything lines up then it should be ok, but the style does not guarantee a fit. Both the H and M series tractors used the same 6 spoke style, but they have different axle shaft diameters so they can't be interchanged.
 
If you change your own tires you'll regret it. Farmall/IH has a drop center for changing the tire. Makes it much easier. Otherwise as long as everything measure out it will be fine.
 
Guys I'm talking just rims, not cast centers. Rims
are like ones in the picture. His are 6 loop off a
Ford, I need 6 loop for an IH. Both are 6 loop 28"
rims so I'm pretty sure they will fit, but was just
curious if anyone knew for sure.

Wheel rims are built by the same companies that make the tires. Goodyear, Firestone, etc. Sometimes the rims are built by other companies, but to my knowledge, none of the rims were/are built by IH, Ford, John Deere, etc.

Which means that if the rims on a Ford look, and measure, the same as on an IH, they most likely WILL interchange.
