Farmall Super H brakes

I am workinfg on the brakes of my superH. I have taken the outer cover off and the actuating disc and brake discs, On one side where the splined shaft is that the brake disc slides over their seems to be oil leaking around this shaft. Is there a seal and how do you get to it to replace. Any help would be appreciated.Right next to the rear end housing where the brake disc would fit there seems to be piece that looks like it might slide off but just pulling it will not move it. Does this slide off.
 
You need to pull the axle on that side and move the bull gear out of the way, then you can screw two bolts in the threaded holes in the bull pinion carrier and slide it out to replace the seal. If you force it with the bull gear still in place you will break the carrier and have to buy another one.

Plate the inside disc contacts comes out and has the seal in it. It has a o ring on the part that goes inside the bull and differential housing. Doesn't start moving very easy at first when removing sometimes. Look carefully at the edge and you can find some pry slots. Try to pry it straight out. Or you can put a slide hammer in the threaded hole in the end of the bull pinion shaft and pull the shaft and plate. Shaft can be inspected and slide back in if okay.
 
Like D Slater says find those pry slots, Don't get heavy handed,but with the right pry bar, chisel, you will get it off. Remember its been on there for about 60 years.
 
Remember that this is for the SUPER H, with the DISC brakes.

If you try the same technique with a band-brake H, you will break the bull pinion carrier, and you'll have a LOT of work ahead of you.
 
I use 3 chisels evenly spaced around retainer, between plate and axle housing. Evenly tap them in till retainer come off. Go easy as it will break if you get too heavy handed.
