tread width for gardening with cub,A,and B

What is the best tread width to set the front and rear tread width for single row market gardening ? will be using all 3 tractors, don't want to switch implements often. Besides if I only used one the war department would insist I sell the others....

If you cultivate with the B you can have rows 30 on center. This would make the Bs rear the narrowest position. Then same way on the CUB and A. Any how thats what i would do is everything on 30in center then i could cultivate with any one of the three. By the way i have the same three but since wife died dont have a large garden so the CUB and A get used. Of course you need all three just cant have one do all the work and then wear it out.

For single rows I agree with Gene, the narrowest width (40").
If you use the the basic Cub Planter and Cultivator, they are single row. When planting single row, it wouldn't work very well to try to cultivate with a two row.
I plant mult-row and use a wheel tread of 54". This allows for 2-24", 2-30", 3-18" or 4-12" rows. I have ganged Earthways on a toolbar and have a Cub-447 Vegetable Cultivator that will cultivate the same.
The Cub, A & B and a little ingenuity, are very versatile. Mount a toolbar and hang anything you want on them.

It really bepends on row width. You run 40/48"...Rows.set the traed to that. You run 30" or narrower.Set to two times(30" row,set wheel to 60") and offset the tool.Drive the row cultivete. Then turn around, follow the same tracks and do the other row.As was said, those little tractors are versatle (capital 'V').Hang about anything on em.Set up anyway you need/desire.

Your planters look like one I have here in the house but mine still has the handle for pushing it

The regular front axle on an A/Super A will only go in to 44" so we've always used that. The Cub is set to 44" as well.

WOW having one of those is a rare find. I have two for the A and by just changing a few pieces of iron it could work on a B. They did make changes later for them on the A and Bs. Always thought it would be neat to have a 4row 20 on center for the B just to take to shows.
