Odd Farmall H hydraulic pump shaft

I wondered if anybody knows what this is. there wasn't any parts to connect it to the countershaft drive.

The same pump was used on some implements, like swather and then it was chain driven.

I never worked on one but possibly for use on a F20 of F30?

I though that at one time when you had a 9 speed in your tractor that you could disengage the pump when you ran in high range. That looks like one half of the shifting mechanism.
