I have a Super W6 in the shop and a W6 I just bought that I will probably part out. I will set the w6 hood on the super and let you know.

i do know that there is a diff. length in them. its not much only like an inch and a bit. but just cant remember which is which and not near one to measure now.

The length of the hood may depend on the type of frame the Super W-6 has. The early Super W-6's had the tub frame (cast iron) which is the same as the regular W-6's. The later Super W-6's have the steel frame rails. I think I read that the later ones had a longer hood. Hopefully someone else will respond who knows for sure.

I am looking for a hood for a Super W6 and it measures 39 7/8 inches.
If you have such a thing, please contact me at [email protected]
thanks

I went & measured couple SW6's here on the farm. The 1952 SW6 with cast tube frame is 41 1/8" long. The 1953 SW6 with frame rails is 39 13/16, have 2 of those tractors. Don't have a 54 model, so cant help with that hood length.

Hi,
I would like to know how much you would have to have for the 39 13/16 inch hood.
Transportation might be an issue but let's check it out.
Thanks,

CurtsW6,

I don't think the hood is for sale. He was just answering the original poster's question about hood length.

The problem here is you replied to a two year old thread. People don't look at dates, and assumed it was a new question.

I know you're new here, and this is a very common error that new people make. It's good that you used search, but you need to use some common sense when responding or asking questions.

Basically, don't "hijack" other peoples threads, especially if they have been inactive for more than a few weeks. It is rude and generally doesn't work because people don't pay attention to the change in direction of the thread.

Next time start a new thread, BUT...

This is not a forsale/wanted forum. If you want something post in the classifieds. A question about hood length is acceptable. Asking where to find one is a gray area. Asking someone to sell you one is against the rules.

Notice that there are very few forsale/wanted posts in this forum. Almost none, really. Most are deleted, and the ones you see were missed by the moderator, or have some other redeeming value.
