I am going to change the oil in the PTO in my Farmall 460. It is a 1958-9. I did a search looking for helpful hints, but did not find much. So far all of you experts have been very helpfull. I hope I can pay it back.
On the left side I found two plugs with square recessed sockets in them. I assume the lower is the drain and the upper is for checking fluid level. There is practically no room between them and the cylinder for the Fast Hitch.
Any tips before I pull a bunch of stuff off the hitch to get to the plugs? Anyone know the size of wrench to remove the plugs? I doubt they have ever been pulled. PTO seems to work fine, although I have not put it under load.
