I was wondering was a completely restored 1957 450 diesel is worth? it start on gas then switch over to diesel. Also is the 6th s/n made that year.

Very much depends on condition and tires. If the metal is straight and original, and the tires are 80% and not checked to the cords, with a reasonably tight fast hitch, good IPTO, the TA works under load, and it starts and runs well, 4000 might be expected.
Take away the tires, loose 1200. sheet metal loose 500, running poorly or not running, -1300. So anywhere from 1200 to the top price. Jim

Different people have different ideas of what "completely restored" means.

For some it is a rolled-on paint job right over all the leaks, old flaking paint, grease, and dirt.

For some it is a complete teardown of the tractor; every bolt, nut, bearing, seal, shaft, and gear removed, cleaned, reconditioned, painted, and put back together.

Or, anywhere in between. Rest assured you will never get out what you put in.

Your "restored" tractor could be worth anywhere from $1200 to $12,000 depending on what was done to it. It will be hard to find a buyer for the $12,000 version.
