Whats the story on these?
Have a opportunity to get one for cheap, with loader, however the low gear has gone out on it. He was plowing, the plow caught, and the tractor front end went up and came back down. What could be the issue? Engine runs really well. Its a '67.

Hi Thomas, spent many hours in the seat of B414D.
We had one from 1962 to 1974 and put over 10,000 engine hours on it. Also had newer versions 434 and 384.
Is it a Diesel or gas? We only had Diesel models.
The only downside is the glow plug start but newer glow plugs are available to fix the problem.

Re low gear, only guessing that the shifter fork has jumped out of place.

Its a diesel, which for me is great. Glowplugs are not an issue.
Hoping to get it home next weekend. Should be a great little yard tractor.

1965 IH 424 diesel with the PTO lever pin sheared off @ the pivot to actuator link (internal rear gear case). actuator is Rev 1 a rev 11 part is much smaller and does not have a square peg coming out of the opposing side. rev 1 part is too big to pre assemble and fit thru 3 bolt access hole. Will the rev 11 actuator work in place of the rev 1? Thank you
