Farmall 544 No High gear

I have a 1969 Farmall 544 gas with the hydrostatic High/Low transmission and it will move in low only. In high it does nothing. Fluid levels are good. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

If this is a row crop tractor, there is a pin in the cross-shaft of the hi-lo lever that will sometimes shear.

Take out the battery and see if the lever is actually moving the linkage to the hi side.

I appologize for any incorrect terminology here. There are three control arms coming off the linkage or shaft that the hi/lo lever is attached to. Only the right arm closest to the lever is moving when i move the lever. You must be correct with your statement about the shaft. Looks like i need to dig into it further. Anything special i need to know?
