Wasn't there someone on this site that made Pittman rods (I think I spelled that correctly and used the correct terminology)for sickle mowers? I've inherited my grandfathers equipment for the 100 I rebuilt and the mower looks in good shape except--you guessed it--no Pittman rod.

The farm and home stores around here carry them, lots of holes, just pick the ones that work for your machine.

if you have the iron, it is not a really big job to install the wood.

otherwise, your best bet, if you do not want to make one, is to see if you can find one on ebay, etc.

farmall cub pitman and farmall c pitman are the same pitman.

nnalert has two--one is 30 and a half inches and another 31 and three quarters. guess I'll have to go measure.

You could call them and see which one fits your machine or else buy the longer one and redrill the holes for the bolts and trim off the excess.
