H vs 300 axles

Does anyone know if I can put H axles in a 300? Need to put a axle in my 300 and found some out of a H for free. Any input welcome. Thanks in advance

I think but do not know if the smaller (2.5") axles are an interchange. The larger 300 axles will not, they are 2.375".

If I remember correct the 300 has different splines for the bull gear and is longer than 99% of H tractors.

The splines are different, I had thought about putting H axles in my 300 but couldn't. Super H are the same as H if I recall correctly, at least the stage 1 which is all I have had.

h, super h, 300, 350 and 460's have 2 1/2" axles, unless the 460 had the optional 2 3/4" axles. everyone is in agreement that the splines for the bullgears are different on an h or super h axle to a later model tractor.

RANDY According to my TC-54A parts book dated April '58, the 300 & 350's could have the 2-3/4" axles too.
