21 Improvements on a Farmall Super H vs. Farmall H

Great to see a young lady interested in old tractors.
Don't want to discourage her but since she was going into detail about how the M&W disc brakes could be added to a H. Think she should also mention late H tractors had the SH type brakes along with the SH type crankshaft, clutch, longer axles, sealed beam lights and the same bearings as a SH. Also 4 piston rings were used in the SH.
Can think of a few other things but good enough.

You are correct about the very late H's showing some characteristics of the Super H models. Also, some late 1953 models showed characteristics of the Stage 2 1954 Super H models.

As far as the piston rings--I just took a piston apart yesterday from a Super H that had three compression rings and two oil control rings, a total of five.

Thanks for sharing. Always wanted to know the differences from year to year, 39 through 54. Alot of change on the super, but there was also minor changes throughtout all the years. Always wanted to know what changes those were, and for what year. Not nit picking here, but isn't that bigger carburator she compared the H carb to belong to an F-20? Sure looks like it to me. I'm not familiar with a super H carb, but don't remember the carb on a 300 being like that.

Without seeing more its the same size as a SH carburetor. Works to show the difference.
Does have a choke cable bracket and anchor like used on 300 to 450 carburetors.
