Flushing out system on 1958-9 Farmall 460

I have done some research and have come up with a plan to flush all of the contaminated hydraulic oil out of the system on out 460. I know this has been beat to death, but I am new here and want your opinions.

Completely drain as best I can, empty loader cylinders of oil by cycling by hand, drain fast hitch, drain PTO. Am I missing something?

Install new filter (I have not removed the old one yet).
Install new cheap fluid with some detergent, ie ATF or Seafoam. Run that through the system for a couple of weeks (we don't use this under any heavy loads, just trying to get the crap out that hangs up).

Drain completely as before and install new filter and HYtran. Tractor now lives in a heated shed. Before it lived uncovered and outside.

You comments are much appreciated. It has been a lot of years since I worked on tractors.

Sounds messy to me and a pain to bleed the air back out of everything to get it working again... Plus when you start cracking those lines you're just asking for leaks.

Frankly I would just do the "drain as best I can" part. After the second oil change the contaminated oil will be extremely diluted and no threat to the system.

What Iwould do is let it set still for 10days to
twoweeks and then open the drain plugs and let water
out till oil starts going out and put plug back in.
Water will settle to bottom. After draining drive
tractor for a while and repeat process. You will
be surprised how much crap you will get out.
