hello i have a farmall 340 and its leaking oil out of a small hole in the bottom of the torque tube and i can't find where it's coming from. plz help

which one theres a couple . is there suppost to be oil in the torgue tube if u take the covers off. (not the clutch cover)

Which seal? Doesn't matter. If there's two you may as well replace 'em both while you're in there.

But, it also depends on what covers you are talking about.

There should be oil in the TA section where the planetary gears are, but not in the TA clutch area or the main clutch area.

Unfortunately, at some point or other you're going to have to split the tractor and perform "exploratory surgery" to find the exact source of the leak and fix it. There is only so much you can see from the outside without X-ray vision, and no way to fix anything.

If the hole is in the cast part of the housing and not in a steel plate, its probably oil leaking into the T/A clutch compartment. IPTO drive shaft with gear seal can leak into there, along with the T/A carrier or sun shaft seal.
First one requires a split at rear of engine to fix and the most common leak area the second place requires the center housing being removed from the tractor.

so if i get the middle section out i should be able to get to them?
when i put it back together will the middle piece just slide back together?

More disassembly needs to be done to replace seals after the housing is removed. Suggest getting a T/A removal and repair manual for that tractor if you want to do it.
