H/M factory widefront aftermarket spindles Part numbers

I picked up a adjustable wheelbase wide front for an M/H. One of the knuckle/spindles was broken off. I've found an aftermarket spindle/knuckle that i think might work. Per the IH parts catalog the PN is 51699DF. Per this site and a few others the Aftermarket one is a replacement for 51699DE. I can't find that part on the CASE IH site. I'm thinking the DE may not be the correct p/n.

Here is a link to the aftermarket part.

I bought an aftermarket replacement for my SuperM
once. Looked different, not 'correct' for a "factory
correct" restoration. Fit perfectly, but none the
less worked as well as the 'genuine factory' part.

If the spindle was manufactured during the H and M time period it probably has a 51699DE or lower suffix on it. DF has some change to the part but still works for DE. DF suffix was the last spindles IH sold. When IH sold the spindles they included the wheel bearing nut and a washer with them to take the place of the one piece nut and washer with a clamp bolt used on tractors before a serial number break. Serial number break really doesn't work since a lot of wide fronts were added or switched around.

Thanks for the info. This will make this an easy fix. Now I just need to find an H mounting plate instead of the M one I have.

Do you need the whole cast piece? I believe I have one I don't need.

I have yet to be able to find people's email addresses on here. I'm assuming you are talking about the adapter plate. It's a flat plate that the axle bolts to and the plate bolts to the frame.

Hi. I am in the process of restoring a Factory WFE for my Farmall H and have the adapter plate off while I finish it. I can trace out the plate for you to take to a fabricator and cut from plate if you do not find one. TOM

Just the plate in this case. I also need the steering arm. Everything else appears to be the same
