Selling a 1950 Cub Demonstrator

Im selling it this weekend hopefully, near Tulsa. Wondering what you guys think I should get for it. Its unrestored, documented by 2 other Cub collectors as likely being a demonstrator. Runs great.

Condition is everything, Here in the North East it would bring about the same as a regular Cub when you say " Likely a demonstrator".
In average shape, perhaps up to $ 2500.

Really you can't in all good conscience say "definitely a demonstrator" because there's always some reasonable doubt when the tractor has been painted.

If you get the right two people at the auction it could go for $2000, but I would expect it to be closer to $1000 for a bare tractor.

I guess you missed where I said it hadn't been restored. Theres PLENTY of white showing in bits and places on it.
ALSO< as I said, I had 2 Cub Collectors here who, in their minds verified it to be a Demonstrator.

They were here 3yrs ago cause of an ad I put on somewhere, maybe here. I havnt seen them since. They were retired, and just came here for the trip. They sere like around 30 miles away. Got there names then. Don't have them now.

I went $2500 on this at auction last year. Wish I went higher.

It always amazes me how the experts spout out info, making it look like they are the expert, then cant even figure out simple things, like electrical or getting fuel in the oil, but people go nuts over demos. There are so many demos out there now, even demos from 1939 now! Ive seen Cub demos go from 1000 not running up to 5000 running, and one went 8000 documented and restored, with repop placards and stars.

I thought they didn't start making cubs until the late 40s. Did they make them in 39?

Farmallb, in your original post, you said "LIKELY" a demonstrator, not "for sure" or "definitely." If there is/was doubt in these collectors' minds, there will be doubt in the minds of anyone bidding on it which will hurt its value.

I ain't a diesel mechanic, okay? But I do know my Cubs and I've been to plenty of auctions lately so I have a good idea of the tractor market.

The market is depressed, and auctions are ALWAYS a crapshoot even when times are good. You just never know.

No, but someone once claimed they had a 39 H demo.
While Ill admit dealers may have had their own demos,
people often confuse the "demos" with the white 1950
demo program.
