1206 emblems

Okay I like to think I know my IH tractors pretty well but I am a little confused by something. There have been some 1206's advertised for sale the last few months that have International emblems on the side of the hood instead of the Farmall emblem. These have been row crops. I always thought the only 06 series tractors that had the International emblems were wheatland or standard tread models. Were some of the late 06's produced with International instead of Farmall emblems as they got close to switching over to the 56 series? Or has someone simply used these emblems by mistake in a restoration? No big deal but kind of curious. Thanks.

All 1206's used the black emblems with the straight ends. The Farmall (row crop) 1206 used the FARMALL emblem and the INTERNATIONAL (standard version)1206 used the INTERNATIONAL emblem with the straight cut ends. If you see a 1206 row crop with INTERNATIONAL emblems on it, it is an incorrect application. Sometime guys put the tapered end INTERNATIONAL emblems from a 56 series on a 1206 in error. They all have the same pin placement.
