Auction Results- Way too rich for me

Went to an auction today in Mount Sterling, Missouri today to watch a WK40 sell. Was a large auction with about 100 tractors. The WK40 had a broken exhaust manifold and was missing the intake pipe and still brought 5000. What I could not believe was a 1933 F12 with a Waukesha engine and single front (would need some work to get it running). Brought $7100 !!! A nice little W12 with a recent overhaul and rear belt pulley brought 4250.

Thanks for the results..The sale must not have been advertised very good because none of us in western MO knew about it..I couldnt have gone any ways because I was at a sale at Paola,KS that had 40 old tractors..

I was at the auction in Paola and bought a 44H. I thought the prices were low. Did you think they went a little low?

Yes,I thought that the Paola sale prices were soft..John took a beating on some of them....I bought the 21-32 Twin City tractor that sold there..

The difference is, one auction was advertised nationally by a wanna-be "fancy-pants" auctioneer, and the other was advertised on Craigslist by what appears to be a fly-by-night operation.

John is a good friend of mine and he took a bath! I am glad the Twin City went to a good home, that was probably the buy of the day. Everything went way too cheap sad really.
