Farmall 140 transmission swap

Anyone know if a Farmall A or Super A transmissiom can be used on a Farmall 140. I know that the reverse splin gears are different(22 vs 20 teeth) and different casting # for the case, but can the whole transmission (case and all) from a Farmall 140 be swaped with the A/Super A transmission

I put a 140 trans in a Super A. The only thing I did wrong was trying to use the top trans cover and shift lever from the Super A on the 140 trans, they do not interchange. You must use the Super A trans cover and shift lever on a Super A trans and the 140 trans cover and shift lever on the 140. Everything else interchanged with any problems.

AFAIK, the 140 will just move a bit faster at the top end with a Super A transmission because the engine RPMs are higher.
