It is finally here, the trucker delivered it a few days ago. 1935 International TD40. This is the first diesel tractor that IHC made, it was introduced in 1932 I believe. I do have the radiator and hood for it and I also got a complete spare engine for it as well. This is my first crawler tractor and my first diesel tractor too. Engine is 4-3/4 x 6-1/2 bore and stroke for 461 cubic inch displacement. This is the gas-start diesel, and what is unique on the gas-start diesels that IHC made in the 1930s is that once you start them on gas, the change-over to diesel is automatic after X number of engine revolutions. You do have to advance the throttle a little when it changes over to turn on the fuel.
