How to tell if factory no T/A???

Hey guys! Went and looked at another IH 606 utility tonight and it has no T/A handle. It was a State Highway Tractor. Serial plate is really worn and all I could make out was 1886 Z. How would I know if it was factory no T/A or if someone has just removed the handle. Doesn't look like there has ever been one there, but who knows.

You will have to take a magnifying glass to the serial number , and look for a P . P would be no TA. But it does have the big hydraulic pump, 17 Gallons per minute,

No mower, its got an IH 2000 loader on it. The state tag is on the loader so I would say its always been there. No 3pt or fast hitch, just a drawbar. How do you know its got the larger pump? I was thinking it might but didn't know for sure. The loader has its own two valves mounted plus the tractor has 3 auxiliary valves beside the seat.

Does the tractor have shuttle shift? If so it is definitely a factory no-TA, because it was either-or, not both.

It's missing a lot more than just the handle, and that is usually a good indication of it being factory and not a "farmer delete."

The TA clutch throwout rockshaft is missing, and it appears that the hole is plugged. Normally just the handle is removed and everything else is left in place.

There should be a code stamped into the serial tag for a TA-equipped tractor, like the Z. I think it would be an S for TA.

It has a shifter so I'm guessing its just the
standard 5 speed. I was thinking there should be a
letter for no T/A but agree this looks factory. The
rockshaft is not there and the hole is plugged. I
was thinking there should be a letter for "no T/A",
but it not having the letter FOR having a T/A, makes
sense that it wouldn't have one!
