Farmall C / Super C

I ran across someone getting ready to scrap a Super C today. I'm wandering what parts can interchange with my C and A? I was thinking about buying the starter, distributer, manifold/ carburator (zenith), and back utility light. Most of the sheet metal is badly beat up, but the running gear seems to be fine. I don't want the whole tractor (only because I don't have the room) just stuff that I may need and can get cheap! What else should I get???

Most pieces should interchange with the C, i really don't know if much interchanges with the A. Where is it/you? If you get it and your within a reasonable range i may take what you dont want.

I'm in South Carolina. In my opinion.... I think this tractor would be a good candidate for a restoration. I sure wish I had the room to get it all, but I don't. Most people in this area are big on the green tractors so I don't think this one has a chance.

Thanks Harry, I'll add that to my list! The engine does look to be ok to me. The clutch and brakes feel fine too. To bad the guy wants to part it out and sell it for scrap.

sounds like a good project, make your C a super C.
all you need is right there.
your list, most engine accessories will work on a A, with a mod or two here and there.

just a thought. I recently tore a tractor down to nuts and bolts for a parts guy. Minus the tires, it all fit on a couple pallets when I was finished.
was easy to move around with 3-point forks.
Didn't take up much room until he picked it up......

Contrary to what some have said, much of the SC will not work with the C. The radiator for the SC is taller and the later SC with the 123 engine also had a water pump that the C did not have. The breaks will not interchange nor will the gas tank or planter drives.
