tack question on a 300U

I bought the gear that goes on the distributor to run the tachometer for my 300U and was wondering what lubes the shaft on the gear that goes into the holder.Does it have to be taken apart and manually greased occasionally.

I would grease it when installed, then check it the first year, then if OK every 2 or 3. Jim

Gee.... I have a 300/350 FARMALL distributor driven tach on my Super H... and I've NEVER greased the drive gears since it was installed in 1968. Replaced the drive cable once... about 1976.
