had the B running for about 15 minutes to check for over heating , the top of the radiator where the cap is really hot, but where the temp guage probe goes into the water port on the bottom of the of the block is cool, the gauge reads cool and the block where the cylinders are warm the head is hot, is there a problem.?

Sounds normal to me. The thermosyphon cooling system needs that temperature differential in order to work.

If the temp guage at the bottom of the system ever reads anything bu cool, you have a problem with plugged radiator or nor coolant circulation. Like said before, it needs the temperature differential to work correctly.
