Started my F-12 today!!

After nearly 3 years of rebuilding my F-12 i brought that tractor back to life today. A few months ago I set a goal of having it running by mid October. I must say I'm awful proud of myself for beating my goal by a few weeks!
My wife has been amazing the last couple weeks as she understood how hard I was working to get it running and she pretty much just let me do my thing out in the shop every night.
This was my first F series rebuild. I learned so much and definitely challenged my skills and knowledge at times. Thanks to everyone here who has helped along they way.
This was also my first time dealing with an F4 mag and seems I nailed it. Tractor started on my 6th crank and has been starting at around 2-4 cranks since. I'm of course still learning the tendencies of the motor
I do plan to paint it but will probably wait a year and get all the bugs worked out.

Congratulations on your milestone! Sounds like you've done a great job and your sweat investment has paid off well.

I'm hoping for a milestone of my own this week on mine. After almost a year spent on my '34 I hope to start it later this week. I need to set my valves, time my mag, and finish assembling my carb.

If all goes well I'm gonna try to get the paint on mine in another week or two. Paint and decals are laready purchased. I had hoped to have it done for my hometowns autumn festival this weekend, but that isn't going to happen. Guess I'll have to take my "M" or my Cub to that event.

Talking with my dad about the tractor last night I realized I'd never discussed with him or with my grandpa before he passed about how long ago it had been that they used the tractor. All I'd known up till now is it hadn't ran since I'd been alive...33 years. Dad told me it was before he was in grade school when they last used it. It's possible it's been 55 years or so since it's ran.

That first pic is where I'd known the tractor to sit my entire life
The other one is my 7 year old driving 'his' tractor tonight. You should have seen his face when he realized I wasn't riding on the drawbar with him and he was actually on there all alone. The smile was priceless!
