French Farmall A ?

I am looking at a Farmall A with a data plate that begins with FFA not the standard FAA and the current owner tells me it was made in France. Is this possible. The complete s/n FFA 344589 J. Can anybody help me out here?

I cant help you with that French model, but my B starts with FAA, where most of them are FAB, not sure if the seat mounts were changed before i got it, or it's misprint or what ?

I do know that French Super C's were built (even diesels!). I've seen a couple myself. I've heard that the engine internal parts are not interchangable with US built engines. Also French Cubs were built (even a Super Cub).
I've neither heard of nor seen a French A or Super A.

What is the engine serial number of that tractor?

HTH, Hendrik, from The Netherlands.
