I pulled the valve cover off my '41 H, working my way down to the head (I'm troubleshooting some issues). After getting the valve cover off, I noticed this hole in the breather tube that runs over the top of the rocker arm shaft.
My educated guess is that this hole shouldn't be there as it is elongated, has rough edges, and isn't centered on the tube but is way toward the front of the engine.
There's also what appears to be a previous repair to this tube farther back (right hand side of photo)
Before I weld the hole back up, can anyone confirm the correct configuration?
