utility 460 clutch sticking

My son has a 460 utility and the cltch started sticking while he was using it. I"m pretty sure he overfilled the transmission and it let some oil leak past the input shaft into the clutch. 1st question is if the plug just below the clutch pedal is the correct place to check the oil level and 2nd question, whats the best way to stop it from sticking short of splitting tractor and cleaning it?

Thanks everyone

Define "sticking".... tractor will not stop when pedal is pushed to disengage or grinds when trying to get into gear, maybe both? Maybe sticks in the pedal down position and won't allow tractor to move? Please give us the symptoms.

Both, it will not release when you push the clutch. Once you hit the brakes hard it will release and is fine till you drive a few yards then its sticks again. The pressure plate is functioning fine as far as i can tell. Pretty sure its just the thick oil making it stick.
