Mccormick Deering Auction

I"m going to a tractor auction next month. I"m wanting to buy a 1936 McCormick Deering W30. It"s an older restoration not on steel. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of what price range this tractor would go for? I realize it depends on the number of people there.

First off, welcome to the forum. On your question, very hard to tell without pictures. Does it run? was the older restoration done well, or did they just slap paint on it? Was the engine rebuilt, etc.etc. etc.

without knowing more about it, I would say $1500 is a good price point. W30's are not common in my area of the country, and nicely done ones fetch close to $3000+. Junkers are in the $800-$900 range. You have to decide what your pocket book will bear.

Thanks Tom. The motor was rebuilt. It's probably a ten-year-old restoration. The paint is pretty good on it. The older gentleman who is having the auction has about 20 different restored tractors so the tractor has probably not been driven a lot in 10 years.
