Wide Front H death wobble

I have a 41 H with a wide front end on it. I don't know if the wide front came from the factory or not or who manufactured it. There is a joint in the middle, see picture, that is obviously worn and missing some bushings or grease boots/seals. I dont know the name of the specific part and cannot seem to locate it on any parts fiches that Ive been able to find. Any and all input appreciated.
thanks.

It is a IH front end. You may need to have a ball typr tierod end made to replace the worn part. Heating and bending a standard end, then quenching it appropriately to temper it (not full hard) would work. The geras and bearings in the Bolster might also have play as might the U joints in the steering shaft. Those bearings and gears are available. Jim

I rebuilt the tie-rod ends on my Super A by cutting off the worn ball ends and welding on 1" ball bearings in their place.

Since it's a factory IH front end, shouldn't one be able to get a factory replacement? If not, how else could someone restore the front end to be an exact replica of the original?

I have had great success using a disc sander and calipers grinding the hi spot down a little making them round again doesent take that much.

I would remove it and go to a GOOD parts house that part was not just made for that joint it has to have other uses and i would think a good parts man could find a new one.

Maybe that joint is only part of the problem. The old Farmall H I grew up on had a narrow front and also had a bad wobble on the road. Might be the worm gear's worn, plus slack in the steering shaft U joint?

Im wiling to bet you are correct. Because of it visibility, it's just the most obvious, so I figure a good place to start.

Does anyone know the actual name of this part so that I can at least make an attempt at locating a factory replacement. I know it's a tie rod end of sorts, but is very different than the tie rod ends you find at either end of the axle near the wheels.

From the caseih on line parts store diagram DRAG LINK ADJUSTING ROD (S/N, Serial Range: 501-134674)Product No: 52934DA
The part as shown looks more like a sketch, but it is the only thing in that spot. Jim

I have the same wide front under my H and it was worse after I added power steering. I went through and made spacers and used machine bushings to get that as tight as I could but what ended up helping the most was I made sure my wheels were toe'd out just a bit. I was night and day difference and I can drive it wide open road gear with no issues now by doing that is took all of the play out of all the places that were wore.
