I'm replacing all battery related cable on my '45 H. Took off the starter switch. it looks like it has been pried open at one point in it's life, I imagine for cleaning. Should I do that again or just replace it. It is not like the one on this site, it is has a longer button shaft. Marked Delco-remy made in USA.

Your Delco-remy switch is a much better switch than any replacement you can get .
