Picked up a Super A last fall that came with a single and a left &
right hand plow but I don't have the draft control bar for it and have
had no luck locating one. I need to plow about 1 acre, can i plow
without it and achieve good results or am i wasting my time?
Anyone have one for sale or measurement to fabricate my own?
Thanks

Make one and make it longer than you think so you will end up with one that works best because it does control your depth

Assuming you have the plows that bolt to the reversed U drawbar. If one point fast hitch, the draft control bar is essential. I used the drawbar plow for years without the draft control bar. Set the drawbar at it's lowest setting using the bolts that are there for adjusting the drawbar height. There is an eccentric bolt in the plow hitch that allows the plow side to side tilt to be adjusted. Tilt should be set so the plow bottom runs level at the depth you want when the tractor wheel is in the furrow. With drawbar at lowest setting and the tilt set correctly, you can plow without the draft control bar. It will take two or three passes to get the plow to go to depth because when you first start there is no furrow for the wheel to run in. If plow runs too deep, adjust with the rear rock shaft and the rear lift chains.
