Guys my cousin called today he has diesel in the engine oil. Only thing I could think of was injector pump leak? Is this an easy fix or are we looking at full pump rebuild? Thanks oldiron29

There's no such thing as an easy fix when it comes to diesel injector pumps... Unfortunately.

Could have either a D282 or a german D310.

D282 will have a roosa master injection pump. There is a very small chance of getting away with changing the input shaft seals and getting to to stop adding fuel to the oil. Most of the time the brass bushing is worn to the point it will not seal anymore.

The D310 should have a Bosch VA injection pump. This one could be a real adventure as hard parts are almost impossible to find, resealing it shouldn't be a problem, but with most pump rebuilds you find you need some hard parts inside. Some places are changing them to CAV DPA pumps.

This 706D has glow plugs so it a 282 right?
Tractor only has around 3000 hrs on it.
I guess he will need a injecter manual.
What is the procedure for pulling the pump with without missing up the timing. I would tell him to look at the shaft seal and shaft condition.
