Farmall M water pump pulley flange - broken

My fan belt has always been pretty loose since I got my M but has been working fine. I took the hood off and noticed that the pulley flange that tightens the belt is broken. Nothing leaks, it runs cool and the fan turns.
I have everything loose to remove the radiator except one of the radiator frame studs. One was rusted away and broke in half. The other I will go at again with more appropriate tools.

It looks like if I take off the what the parts catalog calls the water pump driver and studs and the fan I can change the pulley flange without disturbing the packing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks mm

The brass nut will need to be removed as well as spring
guides and 2 bolts. Knock or pry the top ring off to remove
the adjustable pulley. Check the oil seal and replace if need
be. It's only a grease seal. I would also get a look at the top
bearing while you're there.
