WD9 hydraulic pump reservoir and valve

My 1952 WD9 has an original pump behind the distributor but the rest of the system seems to be a farmer fit, non original. Unless of course this is a later factory layout ???
It has a square tank close to where the pulley would be and the control valve is under the fuel tank.
Does anyone have an original reservoir and control valve?
Alternatively, can I remove the pump and put a bracket back in?
I read somewhere that it's not that simple but if it is, anyone got a bracket , part no. 8 092 DX ?
Many thanks.

What I think you might have is an after market M&W hydraulic setup for you WD9. I had a WD9 that got from a neighbor that had this setup. The attached picture shows the tank and pump. If it is an M&W setup, I would leave it on. I no longer have the tractor as I traded it in for a 650-D about 15 years and don't have any other good pictures. Al

This is the best I can do. The reservoir looks a bit too big?

From what I can tell from your picture, you have an IH pump(hoses exiting from bottom) with a non-IH reservoir. Looks like AJB-830 has a M&W pump(hoses exiting the top) and reservoir. The original IH reservoir was a round tank(like a small barrel). Your outfit will work fine; but if you insist on removing the pump, I have the piece that will take the place of the pump. Even has the drive gear to run the hour meter on your tractor. Part # 261206R1. I"ll trade it to you for the pump, etc.

Thanks for the info and the offer. The trouble is that I live in UK so transport is difficult/expensive! Besides, it's unusual over here to have a 9 with hydraulics.
I need to fit a pulley so I have to do something . Maybe someone out there has the correct valve for the footplate. I should be able to fabricate a reservoir if I can get some accurate dimensions. Can you help with that?

I actually have the correct tank and valve, but if shipping the spacer is going to be cost-prohibitive, imagine what shipping the tank and reservoir will cost...

Of course that assumes I'd be willing to part with the tank and reservoir... That would take a VERY generous offer. I'm still hoping to come across a Super W4 or maybe a Super W6 that needs these.

BTW, why not embrace the customization?

It makes your tractor unique. Sure it's not correct but farmers made modifications to make the tractors work for them.

Alternatively, you could find a small 1-2 gallon tank to hide under the fuel tank, and simply circulate oil to keep the pump lubed.

Oh, I see, being in the UK does present problems. Why don't you just relocate your existing reservoir to another location on the tractor via different hoses, etc and then you could have room to mount the belt pulley. Don't have to be just like original to work.

Thanks for your comments and offers. I think that what I'll do is locate a small brake vacuum tank off a truck behind the battery boxes. This will need some fittings but should replicate the original reservoir and will release some space. There remains the spool valve which is under the fuel tank and also in the way of the pulley. I may be able to move this a little or failing that, relocate in the correct position. A few new hoses should sort it!
