Farmall carb solenoid valve

I've got a Farmall 544 with a Marvel Schebler TSX 934 (according to the tag) carb that's dripping gas from the electric solenoid. I turned off the supply at the sediment bowl when we stopped for break on the tractor ride yesterday, but the drip continued until it emptied the bowl. I have searched on the 'net for the adjustable load valve to replace the solenoid, but it's not obvious which one I need as none of them appear that they have the same thread configuration as the solenoid I removed for inspection. BTW, it appears someone has already cut the pin off the solenoid as I've seen recommended in several places. Anyone have a source and part number for an adjustable load valve for this application or might there be a simpler way to eliminate the solenoid and stop the annoying drip? Thanks.

If the needle has already been cut off of the solenoid, the jet inside the threaded bore is already controlling the fuel flow, and you already without "backfire at shutdown protection", so simply hack the remains of the solenoid off of the threaded brass part and solder the hole closed in the brass part, then screw it back in place. BT,DT, and 503 combines, years ago.

If the electric solenoid has an adjustable needle it has an o-ring on needle. I can't recall if the 544 did use the adjustable one or not but have replaced many O-rings on the IH carbs that used it. Don't know if the thread size is same as IH carbs or not either.

Sounds like that would work, I use the tractor lightly and have never noticed it to diesel or backfire on shutdown, so I doubt I'll have a problem following your method. Thanks for the suggestion.
