anyone else have a bad experience trying to talk to dennys carb shop for information about performance and knowledge on building a pulling tractor? who would be some people I could contact about building a pulling tractor, really interested in the 409 ci stroker motor kit that murphys motor service sells. anyone used this kit?

When I was looking for parts for rebuilding the distributor on
my H I called them because I saw their ad for distributors. The
woman who answered the phone very rudely informed me that
they didn't sell parts to people who work on their own
distributors. She was nasty on the phone!

Don't be afraid of Murphy's stroker kit, we are running one with no trouble. Machinist that bored the block and prep work for crank journal clearance said this kit was a wiz to work with and put together. Be prepared for some carb work, this motor wants huge volumes of air and fuel. We turn 3000 rpm ,and have even started to pull in some mph classes with success. Our compression is high enough we need 116 race fuel.
