Rustred, using green locktite to seal a coolant leak

You said that you had used Locktite to seal the leak between the block bore and the sleeve. Did you use it to seal the crack or did you put the Locktite around the bore and lock the sleeve into the bore? I hope to pull the sleeve tomorrow and if I can, I would like to start putting it back together also.

IIRC "green" loctite is a wicking thread locker. Loctite does make a sleeve and bushing retainer I think it is Loctite 640 and I think it is greenish in color

one bore had a small stress crack at the top. I put the locktite only around the crack then installed the sleeve. tractor (660) is still going strong almost 2 years now.
