have a farmall cub that has teeth missing off of ring gear, n the differential. have a parts cub that i may be able to use for parts.

1) i could remove final drives and remove and replace the differential

2) i could split the cub at the rear of the motor and replace all the rear of tractor

3) i could split the cub at the front of the transmission and replace the rear of the tractor.

recommendations?

I think the engine split method is best as you will not need to set the tooth engagement on the ring gear. Jim

Easiest would be to split at the bell housing and do a "front end transplant" from one Cub to the other.

Personally, I would probably pull the final drives, and swap out just the transmission housing with the differential. That way more of the tractor would be "original."
