Hi the pump needs to have dial indicator to time
it have that and some paper work on it but does the keyway on the pump shaft need to be set in a certain way I now it is on the shaft only one way I mean when timing for tdc it has 3 bolts on pump and if any one has any inf on procedure ih said to set it at 14% befor tdc pump lift at 1MM on dial gauge Thank you

What's that got the 4B engine? The 6B with the VE, you need to get number 1 to TDC, then lock the pump down, before pulling it. Then either don't move the engine, or make sure it gets back to #1 TDC, before reinstalling the pump. Hang the pump from the mounts, tighten the gear down, tighten the pump down, and you're timed. The timing marks on the B series are unique to each pump/timing cover, they punch it in with a chisel once the pump is mounted.
