Can anyone tell me how to adjust the clutch in mu cub. I have split the tractor and found the pressure plate and throw out bearing are shot. When the newnparts come in I know how to everything back together but am unsure about adjusting the clutch. Please help

Generally the fingers should be left alone. The free play measured from the metal of the platform, to the pedal shank where it touches, should be about one inch just as the pedal gets hard yo push, (by hand) Jim

You will more than likely need to adjust the fingers on a new PPlate. Im not sure of that spec, but Im sure its in the archives. Its so much easier to set them to spec while its split, than to find out you have to adjust them after you put it back together. I have put in more than 1 these of clutches in these and have yet to find one with at least 1 finger out of spec enough to warrant checking them before I button everything up.

The finger height is 1-1/4" measured from the flat steel plate that makes up the "core" of the pressure plate, straight up to where the finger would rub on the throwout bearing.

Free pedal play is 1" and I think your Cub is new enough that it can be adjusted by loosening the bolt at the base of the clutch pedal. Real early Cubs had the free pedal adjustment INSIDE the torque tube. You had to adjust it through that little hand hole, which is just about impossible.

Early Cubs had the adjustment on the clutch pedal. I have three dont know when they went to adjusting rod to the throwout bearing but early thru 50 had the adjustment at the clutch pedal.

They have a new type of throw-out bearing that replaces the graphite one if yours has it. Much better and should last a lot longer.
