46 Farmall A oil pump

Fibber Mcgee

New User
This is my first post. I just got a Farmall A and had low oil pressure. Turns out to be the gasket was blown out on the pump cover. I sanded the cover down but now I can't find a gasket for it. I don't have a dealer near me. Is there a way to make one? I have made many cork gaskets but wouldn't know what to use for gasket material. What are these very thin gaskets made of? Thanks for the help.

NO nee to "reinvent the wheel". FIAT part # is 375786R2.

If you don't have a dealer nearby, GOOGLING that # will bring up all sorts of outfits that will be glad to send you one upon the receipt of some CC info.

"Gasket is made of very thin paper."

Or, perhaps very thin fiber gasket material.

If he is determined to hack out his own, below is ONE source for MANY thicknesses of gasket "paper"...

I don't mind buying one but had only found one by searching Farmall A oil pump gasket and I didn't mind the $6 charge but the $10 shipping was a little high. I will try searching that part number. Thanks.
