Help with Hydraulic valve Power Beyond

Hi,
I want to add a remote (or two) to my IH 2444. Right now it does not have any. I have this valve (pictured) controlling my FEL. I think it is factory original but don't know for sure. I assume it may have power beyond ability (port) but I can not identify it. I can not find any name or model on the valve block. If I understand Power Beyond correctly I need to purchase the proper power beyond fitting, remove the power beyond plug from the block and replace with the fitting and then I can feed my remote valves from there. If anybody could help me identify what I would need to work with this valve I would really appreciate it.

That valve is mounted on the loader, right?

The simplest way to add remotes is to get a generic open center hydraulic valve and plumb it in upstream or downstream of the loader valves. That is, take one of the hoses that goes off toward the front there, run it to your new valve, then connect the two valves together with another hose.

Power beyond is not necessary in this case.

Thanks Mkirsch.... However I am not sure that i understand. The 4 hoses on the top of the valve go to the cylinders on the FEL. I don't see how plumbing into them would work? If you mean plumbing into the pressure or the return line to the valve stack look at the attached image and let me know if this is what you have in mind. For some reason I thought that this was not a good idea but I can not remember why. Perhaps it will work just fine?

Yes, I meant plumbing into the pressure or return line.

Power beyond is meant to allow simultaneous operation of multiple valves.

Some people claim that the OUT port on a typical hydraulic valve isn't built to withstand pressure, so you're supposed to connect any downstream valves to the power beyond port.

Frankly. the OUT side of any valve I've ever looked at looks just like the IN side. Same material, same thickness. If the IN side can withstand pressure, so can the OUT side.

Power beyond requires an extra line, which for you wouldn't be a big deal. I'm just not sure if your valve stack even has power beyond. If it doesn't you could get a valve with power beyond and install it on the pressure side, then run power beyond to your loader. Otherwise, I'd just install a regular valve on the return side.

If you can find some more identical valves, it looks like there is an end plate held on by three bolts which could be removed and additional valves stacked on to the existing valves with the end plate added back on last.

I have added extra valves on both trucks and farm tractors by plumbing in series with the existing valve on either the pressure in(pressure line from pump) side of valve or return(line from valve back to hyd. oil tank) side of valve. I have a 1941 farmall M with two sets of three valve bodies plumbed in series and have no problems. One set of valves runs loader boom, bucket, and grapple. The other set of valves is dedicated to the 3pt. hitch and two remotes for whatever I need them for such as forklift lift and tilt. Works great!! I can post pictures this weekend if needed. Armand

The system you are working with is the added crankshaft driven hydraulic pump. The relief valve is in the end plate of the valve stack. If you add any valves to the return line you must also add a relief valve because the one that is there now dumps the relief pressure internally to the return hose port. It cannot provide protection from any obstruction (such as another valve assembly) from that port to the reservoir.

The easiest is a mentioned earlier, just add to the valve stack with the same type of valve and use longer bolts. You can add as many as you have room for.

Hydraulic Valve is really amazing. You can use it in different kinds of work and used to make the flow of the liquid, solid and gasses through hydraulic valve.
