Farmall M cast iron inner wheels on Farmall H

Will a Farmall M's inner cast iron wheels fit a Farmall H's axle
shaft?
The M's shaft is 2-3/4" and the H's is 2-1/2". Would the M
wheel clamp down on the smaller 2-1/2" shaft?

Correct center castings for an H should not be real hard to find.I have always seen them for sale somewhere.

I will add that even making a spacer bushing will ruin the keys and probably the hubs as well. They put as much stress on them when they are correct, with more distance between them, they will strip out easily. Jim

Don't even think about it. Even if you mastermind a possible way, you'll have problems. H rear wheel centers shouldn't be that hard to find. Likely be good and still there on any H getting parted out. Find and buy. If you happen to have M centers and want to justify use on them and save cost, sell them. It might take awhile though.
