Vacuum System Advice

Here is what happened, the oil pan on my 43 H buckled in towards the block and found a weak spot in the metal so now the pan is leaking. For the leak ill probably just JB Weld it. However I am worried that there is a problem in the vacuum system that caused the pan to buckle. Has anyone had dealings with this? Or can I get some advice as to going over the system to make sure there are no blockages?

The Farmall H has one of the best crankcase ventilation systems there is. It would be virtually impossible for enough of a vaccuum to develop internally to cause the oil pan to collapse in on itself. Only thing that would collapse an oil pan is if it made contact with an unmoveable object. So tell us, what exactly did you hit?

What rustyfarmall says - the pan on an H is so robust it cannot
be collapsed even under a perfect vacuum. Rather it had to
have been hit - and hit HARD - from below.

Maybe his high school aged son was driving and that is what Dad was told. No way that really happened. Go to the junk yard and buy a new pan. It will be dirt cheap because they are everywhere AND you will also realize that pan is probably 50# of 1/4" steel.

Are you related to the Fred Find family? Crazy things going on here today, I might have to go get the hip waders on, its starting to get deep.
