706 antifreeze overflow

My 706 started pushing antifreeze out the overflow when I throttle down. Usually only when I'm working it. It has the 282 in it with a complete rebuild. It was pressurizing so I had to have the head and block planed. It does have a m&w turbo on it. Could it be a waterpump or radiator problem. I can run it all day if I'm mowing hay with no problem. Only an issue if it's working hard?

If you don't have a compression leak, sounds like a thermostat or radiator flow problem. Also might just be the radiator cap needs to be replaced. Does the motor get hot under a heavy load? I have had in the past two D282 motors in a 560 and a 706 both with turbo's. I ran 160 deg thermostats in them. Both were bad on head gaskets blowing if you turned the injector pump up.

We had a lot of problems with the 66 series tractors doing just that. Throttle down after working hard and pushing out coolant. Running at proper level in radiator and they still did same thing. IH's field fix was to have us install a coolant expansion tank mounted on the precleaner baffle in front of radiator. That along with the radiator cap made for sealed systems took care of the problem. IH's factory fix was to rearrange the baffle in side the radiator to redirect the flow coming in the top of radiator. Usually, on the older tractors like 460 , through 806, reducing the coolant level to just over the cores would take care of the problem. Realize, that long neck on the radiator is a long way from the core so normal level is like 5 inch's below cap seat inside neck.
