farmall b serial number

How else can you tell the year on a farmall b. It has a seat with a spring a farmall c. I cant find a serial number plate on it anywhere.

Not sure, but if it"s like the H or M, there might be labels that were cast into the bigger, heavier cast iron parts, that might read like this; 4 . 17 . T That would mean April 17, 1950. If you can find some of those, it would give the exact date theparts were cast. H = 1938 [No one knows why IH started with H]
I = 1939
J = 1940
until A = 1955

If it has the original motor, on top of the magneto (o.k. behind and above) is a little flat spot with serial no. engraved on it. Same for farmall A. We sometimes lose the serial no. when the seat rails are changed.
