farmall b serial number

How else can you tell the year on a farmall b. It has a seat with a spring a farmall c. I cant find a serial number plate on it anywhere.

If it has the original motor, on top of the magneto (o.k. behind and above) is a little flat spot with serial no. engraved on it. Same for farmall A. We sometimes lose the serial no. when the seat rails are changed.

Not sure, but if it"s like the H or M, there might be labels that were cast into the bigger, heavier cast iron parts, that might read like this;
4 . 17 . T
That would mean April 17, 1950.
If you can find some of those, it would give the exact date theparts were cast.
H = 1938 [No one knows why IH started with H]
I = 1939
J = 1940
until A = 1955
