I have a 1959 IH Farmall 560D tractor. Im guessing its the D282 engine. Serial number on tractor is 21089. Im not sure if its the early or late model 560D. It is nut pumping fuel and i have the chance to purchase a new old stock injector pump at a good price. Heres the question..... The beginning of the model or part number on the existing pump is "DGBFC". The model or part number on the new one is "DGFCL". They both "LOOK" very very similar. Same locations for all the lines and cables and mounting and overall appearance is almost exact. Will the new one "DGFCL" work for me as a direct replacement? Where can i find compatibility information or another that will work if the one mentioned wont? Thank you.

Need the complete DGFCL # to find what it is from. Never saw any 560 that did not have a DBGFC pump, early models had the bolt on advance while the later pumps had the integral advance housing.

The 7AQ came from a WIS-Con TD427 Generator engine. with no timing advance.
There is a plate on both sides with "Timed Start INJ" on each side and opposite the throttle there is a lever that looks similar to the throttle. I thought that was the advance. Ive uploaded pictures of both sides of the new pump. I will take pictures of the old pump this evening to compare.
Pictures tell the story. No advance and it will not work satisfactory on a 560. Also, if you do find another pump, make sure it has a load advance and not a speed advance. There is a lot of difference in performance of that engine between the two advances. Load advance will have an adjustable governor guide screw and speed advance will have adjustable screw on the end cap of the advance piston. Like previously stated, two different styles of load advance. One with separate bolt on housing on bottom of pump and the other(latest and best) is integral housing cast with pump .

We need to have the complete DBGFC # to compare internal components.
Just because your old pump doesn"t pump doesn"t mean you need a new one.. IF indeed your head and rotor is seized it would have snapped the drive shaft. IF the head is worn out and you already have the "new pump" the internals can be swapped into the old housing if compatible, but we need the #"s off the old pump.
