IH 47 baler

CaseIH still has them at $430 ea! You can also get the rollers and bushings for the tips but they are also very spendy to at $180. Are the needles broken or do the rollers just need rebuilding? If the tips just need rebuilding I would think a machine shop could make new parts pretty reasonably. A good shop could repair broken needles to I would think. Good Luck!
 
If he doesn't find nay other than new he plans to take to local machine shop. He was working on it and accidentally tripped tie mechanism at the wrong point, broke one needle and twisted the other out of shape.
 
The rollers alone are that much!?!?!?!?

For $100 I bought a complete 47 parts baler and pulled the needles and knotters and hung them in my shed anticipating I might need them or some parts off of them - looks like it was a smart move. I thought the needles where NLA.

One of the needles on my baler has been broke in two at one point and rewelded. Either the previous owner replaced the other one or somehow it escaped the carnage.
